7 Brew Rewards Program — Points, Free Drinks and How to Check Your Balance

7 Brew Rewards gives you 100 points per eligible drink and a free drink at 1,000 points — ten drinks to a free one. Joining is free, and you do not need the app: give your phone number at the window and the points attach to your account.
The free drink has no size or category restriction. Redeem it on a Large smoothie or a Small americano; the reward is the same either way.
What is 7 Brew Rewards?
The programme is free to join. Every eligible drink earns points, points accumulate toward a free beverage, and members also receive a birthday drink each year. There is no paid tier and no membership fee.
| What you get | Detail |
|---|---|
| Points per drink | 100 on eligible purchases |
| Free drink threshold | 1,000 points |
| Drinks to a free one | 10 |
| Free drink restrictions | None — any size, any category |
| Birthday reward | One free drink, valid one week |
| Cost to join | Free |
| App required | No — phone number at the stand works |
How to sign up for 7 Brew Rewards
To sign up for 7 Brew Rewards, either give your phone number at the window or register online. Both routes create the same account.
Signing up at the stand
Tell the Brewista you want to join and give your phone number. The account is created on the spot and that purchase earns its points. Adding your birthday later activates the birthday reward.
Signing up at the window takes about ten seconds and needs nothing but the number. The trade-off is that accounts created this way often have no birthday and no email attached, which means no birthday drink and no way to check a balance without asking.
Signing up online
Register through the 7 Brew website or app with your phone number and email. Registering online lets you add your birthday immediately and check your balance without asking at the window.
You do not need to download the app to use 7 Brew Rewards. The phone number attached to your account is what earns and redeems points, whether you order at the window or in the app.
How the points system works
Points are earned per drink rather than per dollar, which means a Small americano earns the same 100 points as a Large shake. Ordering smaller does not cost you progress.
| Drinks purchased | Points earned | Progress to free drink |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100 | 10% |
| 3 | 300 | 30% |
| 5 | 500 | 50% |
| 7 | 700 | 70% |
| 9 | 900 | 90% |
| 10 | 1,000 | Free drink earned |
Because points attach per drink, buying two drinks in one order earns 200 points. Multi-drink orders are the fastest route to a reward.
Double Points Tuesday and bonus offers
7 Brew is widely reported to run Double Points Tuesday, which awards 200 points per drink instead of 100 — halving the run to a free drink from ten purchases to five.
| Day | Points per drink | Drinks to a free one |
|---|---|---|
| Standard day | 100 | 10 |
| Double Points Tuesday | 200 | 5 |
Promotions are set locally and change without notice. Double points, seasonal bonuses and member-only offers vary by stand and by month. Confirm at your local 7 Brew before planning an order around one.
How to check your rewards balance
To check your 7 Brew Rewards balance, sign in online with the phone number on your account, or ask the Brewista at the window. Both show the same total.
- Online — sign in with your phone number to see your point total and progress
- In the app — the account screen shows your balance and any active offers
- At the stand — give your phone number and ask; the Brewista can read your balance
- By receipt — points earned on that order appear on the printed or emailed receipt
If a purchase did not credit, the most common cause is the phone number not being given before payment. Points cannot always be added retroactively, so give the number at the start of the order.
The 7 Brew birthday reward
Registered members receive one free drink for their birthday, reported to be valid for a full week starting on the day. You need your birthday saved on the account for the reward to trigger.
| Birthday reward | Detail |
|---|---|
| What you get | One free drink |
| Validity window | Seven days from your birthday |
| Size restriction | None reported |
| Requirement | Birthday saved on your account |
| Proof | Some stands ask for valid ID |
Add your birthday well before the date. Accounts created at the window sometimes have no birthday attached, which is the usual reason the reward never arrives.
Do rewards points expire?
Yes. Points expire after a period of account inactivity. Any qualifying purchase resets the clock, so an account used even occasionally keeps its balance.
If your balance has dropped without redemption, inactivity expiry is the likely cause. Point balances and expiry terms are set by 7 Brew and can change.
What you can redeem a free drink on
A 7 Brew reward drink carries no category or size restriction. It can be redeemed across the full menu.
| Category | Redeemable | Typical value of a Large |
|---|---|---|
| 7 Originals | Yes | $6.25 |
| Classics | Yes | $5.50 |
| 7 Energy | Yes | $6.50 |
| Smoothies | Yes | $7.00 |
| Shakes | Yes | $7.00 |
| Teas, Chai & Matcha | Yes | $5.50 |
| 7 Fizz | Yes | $5.00 |
| Lemonades | Yes | $5.00 |
Redeeming on a Large smoothie or shake returns the most value, since those carry the highest list price. Redeeming on a Small americano returns the least.
Is the programme worth joining?
At 100 points per drink and 1,000 for a reward, the effective discount is 10% on drinks. On a Large smoothie at $7.00–$9.00 that is 70 cents a visit; on a Small americano at $4.00–$5.50 it is about 45 cents.
| If you buy | Drinks to a free one | Effective saving per drink |
|---|---|---|
| Large smoothies at $7.00–$9.00 | 10 | $0.70 |
| Large Originals at $6.25–$8.00 | 10 | $0.63 |
| Medium Classics at $4.50–$6.50 | 10 | $0.43 |
| Small Classics at $4.00–$5.50 | 10 | $0.30 |
Because points are earned per drink rather than per dollar, the programme rewards frequency over spend. Someone buying ten Small coffees reaches a free drink at the same rate as someone buying ten Large shakes, and can then redeem on the most expensive item on the board.
The redemption is where the value sits. Points earned on cheap drinks can be spent on the most expensive one, so saving the reward for a Large smoothie or shake returns roughly double what redeeming it on a Small coffee would.
Rewards points and gift cards
Gift cards and the rewards balance are separate systems. Paying with a 7 Brew gift card still earns points, provided the phone number on your account is given at the start of the order. A gift card is a payment method; points are a loyalty balance, and the two do not convert into each other.
| Gift card | Rewards points | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Stored payment value | Loyalty balance |
| How you get it | Bought or received | Earned per drink |
| Expires | Generally no | Yes, after inactivity |
| Transferable | Yes | No — tied to a phone number |
| Earns points | Yes, when paying | — |
Rewards compared with the drinks you buy
The programme pays back the same 100 points whatever you order, so the return depends entirely on what you redeem on. These are the list prices a free drink can be worth across the menu.
| Redeem on | List price (Large) | Value returned |
|---|---|---|
| Smoothie | $7.00–$10.00 | Highest |
| Shake | $7.00–$10.00 | Highest |
| 7 Energy | $6.25–$8.00 | High |
| 7 Originals | $6.25–$8.00 | High |
| Tea or chai | $5.00–$7.00 | Moderate |
| Classic coffee | $5.00–$7.00 | Moderate |
| Lemonade | $5.00–$7.00 | Lower |
| 7 Fizz | $5.00–$7.00 | Lower |
Troubleshooting missing points
- Number given after payment. Points attach at the start of the transaction — give the number first.
- Wrong number on file. A mistyped digit creates a second, empty account.
- Non-qualifying item. Food items such as Muffin Tops may not earn drink points.
- Account inactivity. A long gap between visits can expire the balance.
- Processing delay. Points sometimes post within 24 hours rather than instantly.
If points are still missing after a day, contact 7 Brew support with the date, location and receipt.
